Almost every personal www page has some info about creator/owner. It shows nice example of man's psychical need to be special, or at least little bit important.
No wonder, world is full of millions of unimportant anonymous people, living their lives based on the formula created by governments and so-called society. It starts in the moment when you can't wait to be adult, to have sex with opposites, to drive car and make lot of money. Then all this happen and you see you just lost your best life part.
So, you continue to make money, raise family, and you end as absolutely unimportant name on funeral schedule. Or you will choose underground and you will destroy yourself with drugs, alcohol and customers who will fill your body holes for money. But you will die anyway. Or... while choosing your life way you build just another page with "About Me" section. Yes, like me. So here you can find my useless life story. You will be sick, if you will read it all, but that's why you are here, right?

My first name is Pavel. I've born on 21th May 1978 in Czech Republic (I wrote it here just for the case you want to send me some birthday gifts ;). Until my 12 years I lived in communistic dictatorship and it was cool time. Almost no USA movies in cinemas (exceptions Indiana Jones and Temple of Doom I saw almost five times), long lines of people waiting for meat and bananas in front of shops... Even if we all know that dictator systems suck, I remember this time as something magical...
My parents were smart people, damaged by system. Because their family members tried to protest against systems, they were not able to study and ended like victims of factories and practice schools (in better cases). They were fortunately enough smart to educate their children in harmony with communistic laws... So I was almost normal child, except the small problems when I refused to visit youth communistic organisations 'coz I hated uniforms and I said that young Czech president looked like photo of nacist soldier (in presence of my teacher and classmates). But in later classes I accomodated.
Then revolution came. All you learned was wrong. History books had to be rewritten, 'coz they contained propagandistic bullshits. Gate opened and cinemas were full of USA movies. TV was full of capitalism advertisement spots with perfect people. Friend and me has been visiting almost every USA movie in cinema for three years. Then I falled in love with 8bit computer machine, 99% compatible clone of ZX Spectrum and there was nothing more important than this. In June 1992 I saw my first Amiga game - Terminator 2 by Ocean ;) - and I knew I must have it. 27th Dec 1993 my parents decided to buy me Amiga 500 to stop my whinning :) Great time. My friend buys Amiga 1200 21th August 1994, one week after Commodore bankrot. We have lot of fun with Amiga anyway.

1996 - Whole Amiga business becomes hopeless. Word 'Amiga' dissapears from mainstream shops and companies start to leave sinking ship like rats. I sell my Amiga in February, my friends (except one) do same thing in March and they buy PC. PC is really lovely stuff, finally I can play lot of adventures and RPG games never converted on Amiga. With Windows 95 dissapears last Amiga thirst.
Then there's released Mods Anthology, 4 CD compilation of Amiga modules. Very needed dope in PC MIDI music world. We discover lot of game modules there and nostalgic sadness comes. I've found programs called 'Exotic Ripper' and 'Pro-Wizard' in bonus directory, documentation informs me, that I can rip modules from games ! I visit my last Amiga friend and I find lot of fun with it. Plus, cult Amiga games give me final heart hit and I decide to buy Amiga 1200 instead planned PC.
October - Amiga is on the table! With turboboard, hard drive and fast RAM I have really lot of fun. I concentrate on collecting all possible Amiga games (even if NDOS format and compatibility problems make it really tough task. I start to compose modules and I rip all possible modules I can :) My friend Tom found name 'Whirlwind' for our music activity, so I sign everywhere as "pal/whirlwind' in my mods. Other friends like it and their other activities become Whirlwind activities too.

1997 - Father kicks me out of home to "get me stand on my own feet". But grandmother dies and he can't have her flat as property (he already owns one). He got good idea - to give me this flat ;) I take all my things from home and I'm on my own now.
I visit another forgotten Amiga friend. Wow, he got Internet on Amiga. Imagination of downloading missing Amiga games excites me and I bother him so long, that he allows to borrow me his modem every month for few days. I find some HD-fixed games and #amiga_warez channel, which really helps me to get lot of games that never get in Czech Republic. After few weeks of my IRC existence I start to use my nick Bored Seal.
I also find page of some guy named Jean-Francois Fabre, who can fix NDOS game to work from hard drive, to quit and to fix all compatibility problems! This becomes my sexual orientation ;). I chase and trade original games and fixes, and it's almost only thing with movies and music I think about. Plus, with help of Fabre's documentation I try hard to learn do my own patches, even if I know shit about Amiga assembler.

"Come, play my game, i'll test ya"
|
1998 - I found WHDLoad page, linked from Fabre's page. There's lot of different fixes and I'm in extasy ;) Later, in summer I try again to fix Anarchy demo 'Deja Vu'. It doesn't works, but then I do some bug and I see first effect sequence. Oh. This is very important moment in my life :) I release lot of patches this year... I also find my first real job, as hospital kitchen employer. Friend comes from army service, he brings few new mates with him and all our Amiga+PC party starts to experiment with alcohol and drugs. As you can expect, we like it. You'll be surprised, but this is my start in 'real' life - I never cared for anything other than watching movies and doing computer stuff before.

1999 - We celebrate begin of year with lot of alcohol and fun in almost empty disco club. Unfortunately, this is start of slow decay of our pub bunch... Our favorite club is closed due citizen petitions like "Only visitors are drug-hanged guys", "Loud music surrounds everywhere". People leave our gang ;) and at the end are only Whirlwind guys left.
I was always anti-sport guy, and here comes time to pay for it. My back and knees doesn't work good. I'm 192 cm tall and I weight 65 kilograms. I have to care more for my health and body. I still support WHDLoad activity and I still spend lot of time with alcohol, friends, exercise stuff and food ;) Aquaventura game is my patch #100. In June I leave my hospital job and me + friend Tom release first Whirlwind music CD called Distribution, only in few pieces for friends.

"Oh my god, that nigga rolls hard"
|
2000 - What to say more about this year - very good year. I released lot of patches, my health problems seem to be ok (almost minimal in compare with previous year). One friend from WHDload users donates CD32 for me, so I start to collect CD32 disks too :) Whirlwind gets involved in WWW business and we created few good-looking www pages - two for Czech music artists Daniel Landa and Debustrol, Game Companies Logos (title explains all) and Games4u (abandon-ware-sell site). At one summer festival friends meet Debustrol band and they inform them about our www site. After few weeks band visits our site and they're very excited with Internet possibility. Our Debustrol site becomes official. I also invite Bert (WHDLoad creator) in my city and we have good fun here :) I can't find job all this year (wow, what a vacation) except few days in terrible meat factory.

"Somebody get me out of here, I'm tearing up myself!"
|
2001 - Hard year. I have no social support and I sink in debts. Some illegal and unmoral activities helped me to survive. Sometime I think it would be easier to die - so simple and complete solution, to start all again. But, imagine I could end like newborn in Africa or Afganistan ;) and sweet 80's and early 90's are forever away. Or probably some athletic beast with good equipment and lot of girls and money ? Maybe I'll check later. I still release lot of patches, and I work for 2 months in laundry. After private investor of laundry refuses to pay promised money for night shifts, I leave.

"These walls will not keep them out - they will keep you in"
|
2002 - After almost abstinential last year there comes summer and alcohol actions return with old friends. I still release patches, but I don't have much fun with WHDLoad activity, there's not much super games left and I'm doing it for too long time. Because, as true movie fan I discover DVD technology and DivX rips ;), I decide to buy PC.
So, exactly 4 years from 23-Aug-1998 when I finished my first WHDLoad patch I buy PC+DVD. I'll still try to fix my bugs, but I don't plan to create new patches. Probably later (would you believe it?).

Favorite Movies:
| |
I dare to say - in my life I've seen more movies than all your family members together. Too much movies to name. I've grown on Arnold Schwarzenegger movies, and I think he's absolutely #1 actor ever (except Twins) :) I loved more movies where tough guy kicked ass of all idiots around: Rambo 1+2, Marked for Death, Hard To Kill. I can name lot of sci-fi/horror movies from 80's (Evil Dead, Aliens, Demons, The Fog, Halloween, Prince of Darkness). Paul Verhoeven is cool director with best movies. From new movies I like David Fincher movies, 12 Monkeys, Last Man Standing, Resident Evil. Comedies - Adam Sandler is really cool guy and I like all his movies :) Old French movies with J-P Belmondo, Louis De Funes are good. I love lot of communistic Czech movies and actors, new Czech movies suck ass.
